Financial support for partnerships

Find out about the financial support we provide to keep our life-changing partnerships together.

A lifetime of support

It costs £50,000 to fund a Canine Partner, from puppyhood to partnership right through to retirement.

We do not charge for our life-changing dogs or their training, but we ask partners to cover the costs of dog ownership – including food and insurance, veterinary bills and preventive care.

As part of our lifelong support, we give partners access to reduced-cost food and insurance, to make these essentials more affordable.

Financial Assistance Fund

For the disabled people we support, a Canine Partner is not a luxury. Their assistance dog provides practical support, love and companionship; helping them live happier, more independent lives.

We never want our partners to face losing their assistance dog because of their financial circumstances. That’s where our Financial Assistance Fund come in.

The fund supports partners experiencing financial hardship or unexpected costs that could put their partnership at risk. Partners can apply for financial help with dog-related costs including everyday essentials and unexpected costs.

Our aim is to keep partnerships together and ensure the long-term health and welfare of our dogs.
